Arrive in Kilimanjaro International Airport where our driver guide will transfer you to Arusha City. Located below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, Arusha has a temperate climate. The city is close to the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Arusha National Park on Mount Meru. Arusha City is a major international diplomatic hub. You will be given a briefing about your Tanzania Wildlife Safari package. Overnight at Arusha
Depart with your naturalist guide for Tarangire, Tanzania’s third-largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, and up to six thousand elephants. A bushwalk and a cultural visit with the semi-nomadic tribes are also included. Early morning walk in Tarangire before departing for Lake Manyara National Park which stretches from the base of the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment to the soda lake. One of the most beautiful places in Africa. As you enter the gate, the Park is dramatically marked off by lush green vegetation consisting of tall trees of the groundwater forest, which provide a home to troops of baboons and blue monkeys. Further down, the forest opens up into woodland, grassland, swamps, and beyond, the soda lake itself where over 350 species of birds, including the lively flamingo, pelican, sacred ibis, grebe and stork can be viewed (a bird watchers’ paradise). At the southern end of the Park are hot sulfur springs called Maji Moto. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, depart to Serengeti National Park, driving through Ngorongoro Highlands and stopping off to visit the Olduvai Museum. Arrive at Seronera Area for picnic lunch. Afternoon game drive in central Serengeti National Park, probably the greatest park on earth. This park, undoubtedly the most famous in the world, covers over 14 000 sq. km and offers amongst many other things the biggest concentration of big cats in the world (Cheetahs, Lions, Leopards, Wild cats…). Many different landscapes can be found in the Serengeti: Savannah with the big plains to the south, hills & woods to the west, the kopjes area to the east, and bushland to the north. Very early morning and evening game drive through the Serengeti plains via Tanzania Wildlife Safari package. Serengeti is perhaps the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. These vast, seemingly unending plains are inhabited during the migration by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, impala, buffalo, birds, and up to ten thousand elephants. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti
Morning departure to Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the 100-square-mile Ngorongoro Crater to view game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. The bottom of the crater dotted with watering-holes, shelters almost 30 000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the slopes of the volcano. You will find the Big Five lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, leopard among others. Ngorongoro crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and surrounded by very steep walls rising 610 meters from the floor, it is considered to be one of the Wonders of the Natural World and is a veritable haven for wildlife. Picnic lunch, overnight at Lodge Karatu.
After breakfast at the lodge, drive to Mto wa Mbu for a cultural visit to the local women and learn how they do their daily activities including farming, small women financing groups, you will have local lunch with the local women to taste the local African food. After lunch transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.
